How to merge contacts?

  1. Logon to your LegalXGen account
  2. Go to Manage Contacts
  3. You’ll see all your contacts listed here. Click on the funnel icon present before ‘New Contact’ button on the top right.
  4. After clicking the ‘funnel’ icon you’ll see the search/ filter bar is visible.
  5. Select the first letter of your contact(s) name you wish to merge. (E.g. Suppose name of your client ‘Legalxgen Software…. is repeated multiple times and you’re interested to merge it to make it a single contact, so you need to click the alphabet ‘L‘, so that you’ll see all the Legalxgen’s together)
  6.  Once all your client starting with any particular letter are listed (say ‘L’ mentioned in the example). Select the contacts/ client names which’re duplicated (appear more than once).
  7. Once you’ve selected the contacts, click on clicking the ‘down arrow’ icon which’s present next to ‘New Contact‘ button on your top right. You’ll see an option ‘Merge Contacts’, click it.
  8. You’ll see a pop-up/ window, to choose the one contact you want to keep ultimately (i.e. all the matter/ timesheet/ invoices will ultimately belong to this). Click on ‘Merge’ button to merge multiple contacts and make it a single contact.
